However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching.

Even though there are several combat-oriented spells, they are all worse value propositions than a sword swing. The Stamina cost for spells makes them very expensive to cast. The main thing I would change about the rules is how magic works. It's not perfect, but the imperfections are easily remedied, and they are also part of the charm. I've been using it to run Deep Carbon Observatory, converted to these rules. Note: The book is mainly black and white with a small amount of colour, however the premium colour option has is available for the print version as it uses high quality paper with an improved look and feel. However, the latest PDF file of this edition of Warlock! has also been updated with the minor rules changes of the new version, so both editions are identical in terms of rules (v1.1).
